The love affair of Romeo and Juliet has historically been famous as one of the saddest plays of all time, with the central characters' passionate infatuation for one another ending up in their death by their own hands. Utilizing Shakespeare and his wife, Hathaway, as tools in the musical itself however, the worldwide and modern play, & Juliet, tweaks the previous story by allowing Juliet to discover what life has to offer after Shakespeare’s classic and focusing on her own coming-of-age story.
